Swirling glitter inside the globe, and a white ghost projected onto the wall behind it. In a dark room it does both at once, which is the reason this one is hard to look away from.
Ten and a half inches tall in a black lantern frame with a skull motif on the base. Runs from the included USB cable or three AA batteries, so it can sit anywhere — a mantelpiece, a hall table, a windowsill — without a socket nearby.
The timer switch gives you six hours on and eighteen off, cycling each day, so it comes on by itself every evening through October. Flick it to ON instead and the ghost keeps projecting until you turn it off.
